Soak, Breathe, Release & Unplug: My One-Night Reset in the Mountains

Sometimes, one night is all you need.

After helping my son get ready for prom—watching him shine in his suit, proud mama moment—I knew I needed to pour back into myself. Life had been moving nonstop, and my spirit was whispering for a pause.

So when I was gifted a one-night stay in a beautiful jacuzzi suite tucked up in the mountains, I took it as a divine invitation to rest.

And I did just that.

The mountains wrapped around me like a warm hug. I sank into that tub, surrounded by silence and the weight of everything I’d been carrying slowly melting away. No distractions. No demands. Just peace.

I soaked.

I breathed.

I released.

Moments like that remind me why I wrote “Unplug.” Even a short escape can refill your soul if you let it. And in that quiet space, I was reminded of my own words:

“Stop, smell the roses.

Take the time to enjoy every moment.

Now breathe and exhale out everything ya don’t need…

All ya gotta do is unplug your TVs, turn off your phones and slow down—

And let it go.”

Here's a little glimpse of that moment of stillness:

Let this be your reminder: even if it’s just one night, or one breath, give yourself the grace to pause. You deserve that kind of peace.

With love, stillness, and soul,

Sista Soul
